Evergreen Valley Speech and Debate would like to thank our coach, officers and all of its senior members for putting in endless time, effort and hard work to make this team successful. We really appreciate all that you have done and have taught us this year. All of us had an AMAZING time in speech and debate; THANKS FOR MAKING IT SPECIAL!

EVSD is losing many of its members this year since they are going away to college. Most of them have been here since the club first started out and they have contributed greatly towards EVSD's success. Although they won't be with us next year, we know that EVSD will always be a part of them. And they will always be a part of EVSD. We're going to miss you seniors! Good luck in college!

CONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2010! WE'LL MISS YOU!

EVSD BANQUET 2010

The Annual EVSD Banquet was held this year on May 27th, 2010. A majority of the team turned up and we had an evening full of fun. We watched short oratorical interpretations by Devangi Vivrekar (interpreting Steve Jobs' commencement address) and Harshika Chowdhary (interpreting Indira Nooyi's commencement address). Also, we had a demo Public Forum Debate discussing merit pay. Devangi Vivrekar and Anisha Sunkerneni debated that merit pay was harmful while Amrita Bhuj and Ridhi Arun promoted merit pay. Later on, some people were recognized by the annual P2 Awards for the hard work they put in to their respective event through out the year. NFL Points were given to each participant for the number of tournaments they participate in, the number of rounds they take part in, and the outcome of those rounds. Some of our members had an exceptionally high number of points and were recognized for their accomplishments.
This event was overall a huge success! Thanks to those who organized and helped with this event!
